We were shocked when we see this. 123RF compromised their User Passwords, IP Addresses.
There are more like Mashable, Wongnai, Lazada Redmart, LiveJournal, and more...
Use something like Firefox Monitor, Have I Been Pwned & the Tech News like ( TheVerge.com or Wired.co.uk ) to keep track of those sites you have been using or living or entertainment.
You can also see what has been pwned in Firefox Monitor, like Lazada Redmart recent compromised data.
Lazada Redmart compromised these users data:
- Passwords
- Partial credit card data
- Phone numbers
- E-mail addresses
- Physical addresses
Usually, when these happen, the first thing you need to do is to think or check your records on which site using the same e-mail address; the password is the same as this compromised site. Another thing is if there is any credit cards info stored on the site or maybe cancel your card or monitor any weird purchase (our recommendation is to cancel it because when bank tell you the card charged, it means someone paid for something which you are not able to recover or it will take a painstaking time to recover the amount back)? Next, you might get weird SMS or calls or even emails because these are part of the compromised data...
You might be thinking about what will happen to these companies (operating in Singapore)... We don't want to comment much on this, but we found a lawyer's blog share his personal view at Ronaldjjwong.com.
